The heart of the horse is a large muscle that pumps massive amounts of blood (10% of body weight) through the small-pulmonary circulation and large-body circulation. Especially with physical stress, it is important that the heart muscle is sufficiently supplied with nutrients. Enough blood flow through the coronary arteries is the basis for a sufficient supply of oxygen and nutrients. Even in the anaerobic area, the energy supply must be provided. The resulting radicals must be neutralized and the cell walls must be protected. In addition, the work of the heart can be facilitated by lowering the abatement (pressure reduction in the large circulation). An increase in oxygen transport in the blood not only relieves the heart's activity but, at the same time, improves the self-sufficiency of the heart muscle. 

Hawthorn increases the contraction force of the heart. It has a positive inotropic effect. Furthermore, hawthorn expands the coronary arteries and reduces the afterload, has a preventive and therapeutic effect on aged heart, infarcts and chronic myocardial insufficiency and provides via the purine derivatives (like adenosine) basic building blocks of energy transfer into the muscle cell.
Mistletoe has a diuretic effect, reduces afterload and prevents heart weakness. It has a positive effect on the energy metabolism of muscle cells and relieves inflammatory reactions.
Sea buckthorn increases immunity, protects the cell walls and promotes blood formation.
L-carnitine is present in only small amounts in orgnic food, with feed it is absorbed by the body to 87%. It has a significant influence on the energy metabolism of the cells in the cytoplasm respectively in the cell organelles. Long-chain fatty acids can enter the mitochondria only bound to L-carnitine, their combustion reduces the production of energy from carbohydrates and less lactate is produced under heavy muscle stress.
Chilin is indispensable for fat digestion, fat transport and fat metabolism. It counteracts fatty liver.
Inosoitol was formerly called muscle sugar and assigned to vitamin B. Main occurrence is in the heart muscle and in the eye lens. It is involved in the fat metabolism of muscles and liver, it promotes blood sugar intake, increases the insulin action, thus ensuring the energy supply to the muscles, which increases muscle contractility.
Nicotinic acid (niacin, vitamin, PP). The coenzymes ND (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) and NADP (NAD phosphate) are responsible for energy recovery from carbohydrates, fats and vitamins. Nicotinic acid is important for the regeneration of skin, muscles, neural system 
Pathenolic acid is involved in the structure of coenzyme A and is essential for the lipid metabolism. It promotes growth and prevents dermatitis and degeneration of the neural system.
